Rock School:
If you are in a band or manage a youth band that needs help in developing, I have been delivering a 'Rock School' programme for many years. The basic idea is to teach the band several songs for a performance. The Rock School Workshops are a fun and practical way to help musicians understand concepts like rhythm , harmony and improvisation and then apply these to the songs that they are learning and beyond.

Music Workshops for Adults and Church Bands
If your band has reached the ceiling as far as musical ability goes and you want to be able to break out and play with more freedom and expression, I can help you with band workshops.

I can deliver workshops that teach you how to create your own arrangements of songs that you already play. I can teach you all the musical theory that you need to know in order to play any style from Rock, Funk, Reggae and Blues to Latin and Jazz.

With the workshops each musician will get worksheets with a breakdown of their parts and the parts of their band members.

I can also teach you how to become more "professional" in your approach to organising the band. For example how to maximize practice and rehearsal time, how to get the most out of your equipment, when to play, when not to play and what to play in a band context.

I can teach one off session or modular courses over several weeks or months.
