Rhythm Lessons
These are lessons aimed at beginners to help develop strumming patterns, playing in time and counting.
Lesson #1
OK This lesson is about the basics. If you have never played rhythm guitar
before, or don't know how to read music, start here.
Its all about strumming, stomping and counting ...all at the same time. It
also introduces rhythm notation reading.
|
 |
Lesson #2
Rhythm guitar with ties? No, don't worry this lesson has nothing to do
with fashion. lt is just about adding a bit of interest to those up down
strums...more counting out loud and stomping required.
|
 |
Lesson #3
OK This is where the real fun starts!
Fast little 16th notes (semiquaver) rhythms can spice up even the most
mundane chugga chugga. |
 |
Lesson #4
Semiquavers and ties, sounds like tidying up after a wild Sunday school
party(!?)...actually, its a lot more fun than it sounds. |
 |
Lesson #5
This lesson is trickier than you might think, but by no means impossible.
It's a good workout for both beginner and advanced players.
If you can play this lesson in time to the metronome, tap your foot, AND
count out loud, you will be well on the road to rhythm guitar guru status! |
